The GT600 applanation tonometer is an optical applanation type. When connected to a slit lamp microscope, it uses an applanation prism embedded with a double prism to apply a certain pressure to flatten a certain area (a circular pressure surface with a diameter of 3.06mm) in the center of the examinee's cornea. Under the slit lamp microscope, with the help of fluorescein and blue light, two green semi-rings are seen, whose inner edges intersect with each other, so that the intraocular pressure reading can be directly obtained on the force dial. As a medical device for measuring intraocular pressure in adults, the GT600 tonometer has passed the type evaluation of the China National Institute of Metrology and obtained the "Type Approval Certificate of Measuring Instruments" of the People's Republic of China, meeting the requirements for mandatory metrological verification products stipulated in the National Metrology Law.
